What types of machinery can be transported?

A wide range of plant and equipment can be transported, from smaller items through to larger commercial machinery. The right truck and equipment is selected based on size and weight.

Does machinery need to be operational to be transported?

No, machinery doesn't need to be running or operational to be moved. It can be loaded and secured using appropriate rigging even if it isn't currently working.

How is machinery secured during transport?

Straps, chains or other rigging suited to the equipment's size and weight are used to keep it stable during the trip. The method chosen depends on the shape, weight and fragility of what's being moved.

Moving heavy machinery isn't something most businesses can do with a standard vehicle, and getting it wrong can put the equipment, the site and personnel at risk. At Beecheys Towing, we transport light and heavy machinery, equipment, containers and site offices across Launceston and Tasmania, including oversize movements where applicable. With Launceston's largest and most diverse fleet, we use the appropriate trucks and rigging for each load. We work with businesses, contractors and equipment owners who need machinery moved reliably, whether it's a one-off job or a regular arrangement. For vehicles rather than machinery, our towing service covers that side of things. Call (03) 6326 3333 to discuss what needs moving.

How We Handle Machinery Transport

Every piece of machinery is different, so we adjust our approach to suit what's being moved.

Proper securing. Every load is properly secured using methods suited to its size and weight, keeping it stable and protected from pick-up to delivery.

Site access planning. We consider access at both the pick-up and drop-off points before the job starts. This helps avoid delays or complications on the day.

Range of equipment. We have Launcestons largest, most diverse fleet for transport machinery. From smaller plant through to larger equipment and containers, the truck and rigging used depends on what's involved.

Careful loading and unloading. We load and unload carefully and methodically to avoid damage to the machinery or the surrounding area, taking the time needed to get it right.
